APEC UPDATE: Request to Nominate Expert Resource or Speaker for APEC Public-Private Dialogues

The Council would like to highlight opportunities for private sector engagement during the 2015 APEC year hosted by the Philippines. 

In addition to the annual CEO Summit in November, the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) in partnership with the Philippines' government will be hosting a number of Public-Private Dialogues (PPDs) on key issues.

Between May 10-21 the second Senior Officials Meeting (SOM II) will take place in Boracay, Philippines. Alongside SOM II several PPDs are also being planned. These include:

  • PPD on Services, May 17. 
    • this PPD will be focused on manufacturing, agriculture and environment-related services. 
  • PPD on Mining (exact date TBC)
  • PPD on Internet Economy (exact date TBC)
The third Senior Officials Meeting (SOM III) is scheduled to take place between August 24-September 8. It is expected that a second PPD on Services will also take place alongside the SOM-III in Cebu, Philippines.
